The data stated in the intellectual property registers must be current. First of all this is required for maintaining your registration. Also, having the right information will help you act faster during legal proceedings and ensure you are available to those who wish to contact you about your patent, trademark and/or design registrations.

Transfers and mergers

Mergers and the selling of patents, trademarks or designs to third parties means consequences for the owner of the intellectual property rights. Such alterations must be recorded in the registers. Registering alterations fast

The required documents for registering transfers (such as deeds of assignment) usually need to be signed by all parties involved. In time it might be difficult to collect signatures on behalf of the party that has surrendered its rights, for instance in case a company no longer exists.
