Erwin Ehrenburg has been a member of Nederlandsch Octrooibureau’s Management Team since 2001. He became partner in 2009.

As COO Erwin is responsible for all IP Business Support activities, including the intrinsic support of both the Patent Sections and the Legal Section, Business Development, Customer Relationship Management, Taxes, Investigation, Validations, Technical Translators, Technical Illustrators and Functional Management.

Experience

Erwin joined Nederlandsch Octrooibureau back in 1985 and has extensive experience in patent and trademark proceedings. He is the moving spirit behind new IP development activities at Nederlandsch Octrooibureau.

In addition, Erwin is working closely together with the most prominent IP authorities including the European Patent Office, the NL Patent Office and the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property.

Ancillary positions

Erwin is the co-founder and board member of the Platform Formalities Officers. The platform is an association that consists of administrative professionals involved in Intellectual Property. Within the platform Erwin is responsible for training and exam. He is also board member of the EIPEF (European Intellectual Property Education Foundation) which includes the Formalities Officers training.
